What is my calling?

What Is My Calling—and How Can I Find Out? A Soul-Led Path to Purpose

A Soul-Led path to purpose

So many women like Mary come to me with the same burning question: “What is my calling – and how do I find out?”

It sounds like a simple question—but behind it, there is a storm. Not just of uncertainty, but of exhaustion. Years of pushing, pleasing, performing. Years of walking a path that looked good from the outside, but slowly, quietly, emptied the soul.

Mary’s story is one I’ve heard in many forms. She’s smart. Capable. Responsible. She’s worked hard in a job that no longer excites her, built a family, stayed “on track”—but somewhere along the way, she lost herself.

She tells me in one of our first sessions, “I don’t even know what I enjoy anymore. I don’t remember the last time I felt alive.”

And yet, I see something she can’t see.
The calling is already speaking.
She’s speaking it. Between the lines. In her tone. In her hesitations. In her longings.

She may not realize it—but I do.

What is my calling? And the hidden language of the soul

When a client like Mary arrives, she usually believes she is stuck. At a crossroads. Lost in fog. She’s tried everything: psychologists, books, podcasts, even other therapists. But nothing felt quite right. She’s looking for a breakthrough, not more analysis.

What happens in our session is not a typical Q&A or a diagnostic process.
It’s a soul conversation.

We sit in a sacred space.
She speaks—and I listen, beyond the words.

Because when someone talks about their life, their job, their childhood, their pain… they also reveal their deepest truths. They say things like:

  • “I always loved drawing, but I left that behind in university.”
  • “I used to write stories as a child, but it felt silly to keep going.”
  • “I just want to help others feel what I never felt.”
“I’m the one everyone comes to when they need support.”

They don’t notice. But I do.

Their soul speaks in between their stories.
And part of my mission is to reflect that soul voice back to them. Gently. With compassion. Without judgment.

Mary’s journey: The turning point

Mary, a 45-year-old logistic coordinator, came to me completely drained. Her marriage had grown cold. Her job no longer sparked joy. Her body was giving her signs: insomnia, chronic pain, hormonal imbalance.

She felt invisible—not seen by her husband, her doctors, her workplace… or even herself.

And still, she showed up.
She booked the call.
She opened the door.

As we began our work together, she said things like:

“I always wanted to support women going through hard times. But I’m not qualified.”
“I feel like I’m good at organizing things, helping people… but I’ve never seen that as something special.”
“I sometimes imagine myself leading retreats. I know it sounds crazy.”

It didn’t sound crazy to me at all.

It sounded like truth.

So I asked her:
“When you speak about helping women, do you feel tired—or do you feel energy?”

Her face lit up.
That’s when we knew.
We had found a thread.

Uncovering the blockages, fears, and desires
Finding your calling isn’t about choosing a career from a list.
It’s about removing the layers that told you you can’t.

You are the tool, you know your calling.

I often get asked what kind of tools I use. The truth?

We are the tool.

Of course, I bring in practices when needed: energy alignment, embodiment work, journaling prompts, somatic check-ins, autogenic training. But more than any technique, it’s the space we hold together that creates the transformation.

It’s the soul-level presence.
It’s the safety to be radically honest.
It’s the ability to speak what has never been spoken before.

And when Mary cried for the first time in months—not from sadness, but from relief—we knew healing had begun.

She wasn’t broken.
She was awakening.

Uncovering the blockages, fears, and desires

Finding your calling isn’t about choosing a career from a list.
It’s about removing the layers that told you you can’t.

Together with Mary, we explored:

  • Childhood beliefs about value, success, and worthiness
  • How her role in the family system shaped her adult identity
  • Her fear of leaving the “safe” but draining path
  • Her guilt around wanting more
  • Her longing to be free, to express, to lead, to serve

We gently peeled back the conditioning.
And underneath it, a dream began to take form.

Not a fantasy—but a mission.

“But who am I to do this?”

This is the most common question that arises once the calling is named.

And it’s also where many people stop.

But here’s the truth I shared with Mary, and that I want you to remember too:

If the desire is in your heart, it’s because your soul has already said yes.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t need a hundred certificates.
You don’t have to quit your job tomorrow.

You simply need to take the next step. And then the next.

Mary didn’t launch a business overnight.
But she started writing again.
She signed up for a short training she had always put off.
She told one trusted friend about her dream.

And with each step, she got stronger.
More alive.
More herself.

From exhaustion to empowerment

Mary wasn’t just stuck in the wrong career.
She was stuck in a story that said she had to “earn” her place in the world.

That she had to prove herself. Please everyone. Be everything for everyone—except herself.

By the time we completed our process together, she didn’t just know her calling.
She embodied it.

She stopped apologizing for wanting a life that made her feel alive.
She reclaimed her right to dream.
She knew how to protect her energy while staying open-hearted.
And most importantly—she saw herself clearly, perhaps for the first time ever.

Your soul already knows

If you’re reading this and nodding, feeling like I just described your life… please know:

You’re not behind.
You’re not broken.
You’re not crazy for wanting more.

Your calling is not lost.
It’s alive inside you.

Sometimes hidden. Sometimes muffled.
But always there.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

And you don’t have to rush.

This is deep work.
But it’s beautiful work.
It’s the journey of a lifetime—coming home to yourself.

Let’s walk this path together – let’s find your calling

If you’re ready to start discovering what your soul has been trying to tell you, I invite you to work with me.

Our sessions are not just about strategies and goals.
They are about deep, soul-level realignment.

You’ll be surprised how often you’ve already said it.
You’ve already felt it.

You just need someone who can hear what you’re not yet hearing… and walk with you until you believe it’s real.

Because it is.
